We need 700 people who are willing to Build Hope for future generations by purchasing a “Square” of this home.

Some seasons of life are hard to believe even as you walk through them.  This past year has been one of those seasons for Freedom House.  After twelve years of believing the Lord wanted us to build a Freedom House community where all of the families in our program could be together in a single location, this year we were finally able to purchase a piece of property and break ground on our dream!  We never could have anticipated the outpouring of support the Lord would send our way as we embarked on this project.

Since launching last fall, we have received commitments totaling approximately $450,000 of our $1.5 million goal.  In March, we put in a new road to access the area of the property where the homes will be built, recently we began foundation work on our first house, and we are now ready to construct the house.  America’s Home Place, in partnership with Square Foot Ministries, a non-profit organization based in Georgia, has generously offered to help us build the first Freedom House home on the new property.  It will be a beautiful home with a large, finished, walk-out basement where all the future families that will live on the property will be able to meet together to work on their recovery.  The donations of Square Foot Ministries, America’s Home Place, and many others will allow us to reduce the cost of building the first house from the average new home construction cost in our area of $120 per square foot to just $40 per square foot!  For more detailed information about what we have been doing on the property, you can check out our most recent video update on Facebook or by using this link: Build Hope with Us.
